How It Works
Before the wedding we will meet and talk about what kind of ceremony you would like, this is an informal meeting to discuss ideas and the arc of the ceremony, some couples know what they want and other couples like more guidance on how to create the ceremony so I am there to help and guide if you are not sure what you want and to offer suggestions.
If you are not sure about what to do I have a wonderful wedding ceremony template from which we can work.
An example of what might be discussed is whether you want to include any special poems or readings, or if you want to say vows to each other. We will also discuss if you would like a handfasting or a more traditional ring ceremony or if the place in which you are getting married holds special significance and if you want that included in the ceremony.
I will take everything we have discussed and create a ceremony which is tailored to you. We can also meet closer to the wedding to have a short rehearsal so everyone knows how it all works, this can be really helpful to allay any nerves and to iron out any general issues about where people are standing and what your cues are and how the venue can work best as the backdrop to your
ceremony.
On your special day I will arrive early and be on hand if there are any last questions or concerns. And finally, all that is left is for you to relax and enjoy your unique ceremony, which will be filled with light, joy, love and beauty.
My Approach
I am a trained actor and have a lot of experience in facilitating groups. I am a also a psychotherapist and a relationship counsellor.
I originally became a wedding celebrant when a friend asked me to officiate at her wedding and I discovered I really enjoyed creating and performing what became a sacred beautiful ceremony and I felt truly honoured to be part of such a special occasion. I find it very exciting that people are now creating their own ceremonies and am delighted to be a part of this growing trend.

Although I am not religious, I am a spiritual person and this will be reflected in the ceremonies that I perform. My aim is to help and support each couple to create a heartfelt ceremony and to perform this in a dignified, professional manner.
I believe that each ceremony should be beautiful, sacred, transcendent, filled with love and ultimately be a marriage blessing for the couple.
